Ole Miss women's basketball makes third straight NCAA Tournament appearance

Ole Miss has not had three straight NCAA Tournament bids since the mid-1990s

For the third season in a row head coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin and the Ole Miss women's basketball were selected for the NCAA Tournament.

The bid marks the 20th NCAA Tournament appearance in program history.

The No. 7 Rebels slotted in the Albany 1 region, begin its tournament journey in a first-round matchup in South Bend, Ind. facing off against No. 10 Marquette. 

Ole Miss finished the season with a 23-8 record marking its third straight 20-plus win season.

This past season, Ole Miss set a new program best with 12-wins in SEC play to finish third in the conference for its highest since 1991-92.

The outstanding performances from Marquesha Davis and Madison Scott earned the duo First Team All-SEC honors.

McPhee-McCuin recently achieved her 100th win at the helm of the Rebels, joining Van Chancellor as the only two coaches in program history to achieve the feat.

This Ole Miss team has been in this position before. Seven of the players on the roster boast NCAA Tournament experience. 

The Rebels kick off tournament action versus the Marquette Golden Eagles from South Bend, Ind. on Friday (March 22) with time and television to be announced.
