No. 8 ranked Memphis women's soccer advance to the second round of the NCAA tournament after defeating LSU, 2-1, on Saturday night at the Track & Soccer Complex in Memphis.

In the 70' Ava Galligan scored to pull LSU within one goal.
Memphis showed why they are statistically the best defensive team in the nation and saw out the rest of the match to pull off the first round victory.
No. 6 seed Memphis will face No. 3 seed Notre Dame in the second round.
