MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A woman and 5-year-old boy are dead and one woman is hospitalized after a crash happened Monday morning in Parkway Village.
The Memphis Police Department responded to the two-vehicle crash April 29, 2024, around 8:30 a.m. at the intersection of American Way and Thousand Oaks Boulevard. There, officers pronounced a 24-year-old woman dead on the scene.
Two children were taken to Le Bonheur Children's Hospital, a 5-year-old boy in critical condition and the other in non-critical condition. Police later said the one in non-critical was uninjured.
The 5-year-old was later pronounced dead at the hospital, police said.
A 32-year-old woman was taken to St. Francis in non-critical condition.
Memphis Police are asking drivers to avoid the area.
