Alternating lane closures scheduled for the I-40 bridge on March 4-6

ARDOT announced that the 1-40 bridge will experience lane closures to do routine maintenance, starting on Monday.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The I-40 Bridge will temporarily close lanes for maintenance, starting on Monday, March 4 until Wednesday March 6.

According to ARDOT, the work done is routine maintenance that will take place on the Interstate 40 Hernando de Soto Bridge between West Memphis, AR, and Memphis, TN.

Work will be done on the outside lanes only. The eastbound lane will be worked on March 4 and 5 during normal business hours, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The westbound outside lane will have its work done on March 5 and 6, but from 6 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

ARDOT is urging drivers to be careful while travelling in that area.
