WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. — A crash involving multiple vehicles at the Arkansas-Tennessee state line was reported around 4 p.m. on Monday by the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT), and West Memphis, Arkansas, authorities confirmed multiple people were injured.
A spokesperson with the City of West Memphis said the accident was a wrong-way crash on the bridge, and multiple people were sent to Regional One Hospital in critical condition.
Eastbound traffic on the I-40 Bridge is continuing to move as of around 6 p.m. Monday.
It could be seen backed up into Arkansas as of around 5:30 but now seems back to regular traffic flow.
