MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A multi-car crash that injured two people had five of six lanes of I-40 West blocked off at Sycamore View, causing traffic to back up for miles, according to TDOT data.
Multiple first responders were on scene blocking all but one lane of traffic near the Sycamore View exit. Memphis Police said they responded to the two-car crash around 4:30 p.m. Monday. One minor and another man were taken to Baptist East Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
According to TDOT data, traffic is backed up all the way to the Appling Road exit on I-40 West.
Avoid the area for now.
