MATA reinstating fixed route services until 7 p.m. on 'Sunday service level'

MATA said MATAPlus will continue to only provide life-sustaining trips. Ready! services remain suspended for Friday. And Trolley services are suspended until Monday.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Memphis Area Transit Authority said as of 2:30 p.m. Friday they are reinstating all fixed route service until 7 p.m. on 'Sunday schedule level.'

Earlier, MATA had suspended all services except for routes to warming centers and life-sustaining trips due to the icy road conditions.

MATA said MATAPlus will continue to only provide life-sustaining trips. Ready! services remain suspended for Friday. And Trolley services are suspended until Monday.

From Saturday, Dec. 24, until Monday, Dec. 26, buses will also run on "Sunday Service Hours."  

Additionally, the "On Demand" service will not be available on Christmas Day. On Saturday and Sunday, the On Demand hours are set to run from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. 

Each day until Monday the transit center lobby hours are 6 a.m. until 7 p.m.
