MEMPHIS, Tenn — Two suspects of a stolen vehicle are dead with one in critical condition following a chase with Memphis Police around Hickory Hill Rd. and Knight Arnold Rd. on Thursday, Nov. 7, 2024.
Memphis Police responded to a call about criminal activity on the 6300 block of Global Drive at around 5:00 p.m. Officers saw at least three suspects in a stolen vehicle.
When officers tried the stop the car, it drove away, according to Memphis Police officials.
The car then crashed into multiple other cars around Hickory Hill Rd. and Knight Arnold Rd., sending four people to local hospitals in non-critical condition, according to MPD.
One MPD officer was also sent to Regional One Health in non-critical condition.
The stolen vehicle then crashed into a pole, where two of the occupants were found dead, and one other was transported to Regional One Health in critical condition.
A traffic alert was issued at around 6:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon. All lanes at the intersection of Hickory Hill Road and Knight Arnold Road are closed as of 9:15 p.m.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol has been called to conduct an investigation into this incident.
