MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A multi-vehicle crash caused traffic delays along I-240 near Lamar near South Memphis Wednesday night.
According to the Tennessee Department of Transportation, several vehicles are involved in a crash which was reported just before 10 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2023. TDOT said northbound I-240 was closed with the crash just south of Lamar Ave.
Memphis Police said just before 10 p.m., there were three crashes in this area. One involved four vehicles and one man was taken to Regional One Hospital in non-critical condition. MPD said there were two more two-vehicles crashes with no injuries.
MPS said that northbound lanes of I-240 at S. Parkway were closed as of 10:30 p.m. Wednesday due to a sheet of ice on the interstate.
