How you can get a free weather radio, emergency kit, and more during MGLW's Emergency Preparedness Workshops

MLGW will host seven different workshops starting next week, which they say will better prepare their customers for weather-related emergencies.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Severe weather season is well underway in the Mid-South, and the region has already had more than its fair share of strong, damaging storms.

Whether its a flooding emergency, damage from high winds, tornadoes, or other weather-related emergency, MLGW said they want their customers to be prepared, and are setting up workshops around Memphis to help.

MLGW will host several community workshops to better prepare customers for weather-related emergencies in the coming weeks. These Safety in Preparedness Program (SiPP) workshops will provide the tools necessary to create severe weather emergency plans, MLGW said.

Attendees of the free SiPP workshops will receive an emergency hand-cranked weather radio, MLGW energy kit, gas detection cards and more.
