MEMPHIS, Tenn. — An approaching cold front will bring rain to the Mid-South by the middle of next week, which could have an impact on your Thanksgiving travel plans.
That same cold front will bring in a bitter blast of cold air by Black Friday and the last weekend of November.
Thanksgiving week forecast for the Memphis area
A weak cold front will pass through on Monday, bringing a slight chance of sprinkles for Monday afternoon. Expect highs in the 70s on Monday.
Temperatures will drop behind this first front with highs in the 50s and 60s for Tuesday and Wednesday. Tuesday will be dry, but rain will arrive on Wednesday and continue off-and-on through the day and into the night.
Thanksgiving Day forecast for the Memphis area
A few showers will remain possible early on Thanksgiving Day, but most of the rain will start to clear out by lunchtime. It'll be a chilly Thanksgiving with highs in the 50s. A cold front will pass through Thursday evening, bringing in much colder air.
Black Friday and weekend forecast for the Memphis area
As the holiday shopping season kicks off in Memphis, bitterly cold air will arrive with a major cold front. Expect highs in the 40s on Black Friday with even colder air for the final weekend of November.
Highs will be in the 30s and 40s for the weekend with lows in the 20s and 30s for Saturday and Sunday morning.
