MEMPHIS, Tenn. — As winter storms filled with heavy, freezing rain hit the Mid-South again this week, Memphis Light, Gas and Water announced Thursday that disconnections for nonpayment for residential and commercial customers will resume on Monday, March 7.
"We realize that our customers sometimes have extenuating circumstances that prevent the timely payment of utility bills. To help ease this burden, we've developed payment and assistance programs, as well as extension policies," MLGW said in a statement. "For more information about these programs, customer may call the Memphis Light, Gas and Water Customer Care Center at (901) 544-6549."
