Slick road conditions in Memphis and surrounding areas with possibly more freezing rain coming

I-40 and other major interstates are mostly clear, but more rain is heading our way.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Road conditions in Memphis, Germantown, Collierville, and across the Mid-South are hazardous due to roads icing overnight.

Memphis Police Department said current road conditions are "not favorable".

There was one accident blocking traffic at the intersection of Lamar Ave. and Tuggle involving a jackknifed tractor trailer.

Memphis Police Department  said the accident happened at 4:27 a.m. It is unclear if anyone was injured in the crash.

Germantown Police Department (GPD) said road icing would be mild throughout the day, specifically for side streets.

Drivers are advised to drive slowly, taking main roads. GPD also said drivers should keep a good traveling distance from other cars on the road.

Collierville Police Department (CPD) said roads in the area are slick, and drivers should take precaution.
