Man wanted for shooting girlfriend in front of their children, say Memphis Police

39-year-old Kristopher Jackson is wanted for attempted first-degree murder, reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon, and other gun charges.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police are searching for a man who they said shot his girlfriend in front of the couple’s four young children.

A warrant was issued for 39-year-old Kristopher Jackson for attempted first-degree murder, reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon, and other gun charges.

MPD said officers responded to the shooting about 5 p.m. on Friday, May 10, 2024, in the 3700 block of Ironwood Dr. near Myers Rd. in Hickory Hill. They found a woman shot and she was taken to Regional One Hospital in critical condition. 

Investigators said the woman told them Jackson, who she identified as her boyfriend, shot her in front of their four young children.

Officers said they spotted Jackson speeding away from the scene when they got there. They said he was driving a silver pickup truck with Tennessee license plate BRL-4326.

Jackson is 6’ tall and 300 lbs., and MPD said he should be considered armed and dangerous.
