MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Charges have been dismissed against a woman arrested in connection with a robbery at a Taco Bell drive-thru window.
She had originally been charged with aggravated robbery. According to court records, charges were dismissed on June 20, 2024, due to "lack of prosecution."
MPD officers said they responded to the robbery about 12:45 a.m. on Oct. 26, 2023, at the Taco Bell in the 5300 block of Knight Arnold in Parkway Village. Investigators were told that two men forced their way into restaurant through the drive-thru window, demanded money, and then escaped back through the window.
According to the affidavit, the woman was in a vehicle outside the drive-thru with a store employee. Surveillance video showed the woman in the passenger seat, according to the affidavit, and showed her "beckoning" to the two armed robbers who were hiding feet away, just before they jumped through the window.
The employees told officers the robbers held them at gunpoint and stole about $1,100.
Just two days before this robbery, on Oct. 24, another Taco Bell was robbed when a suspect similarly jumped through a drive-thru window.
