MEMPHIS, Tenn. — According to MPD, shots were fired in Topgolf's parking lot on Wednesday night.
MPD said they responded to a call at Topgolf, on 3450 Germantown Rd., around 9 p.m. There, someone told them a white Nissan Altima drove into the parking lot and fired shots at two cars. One of the cars appeared to have fired shots back at the Altima, police said. All three cars then left the parking lot.
Police said they later spoke with a woman, who said she came out of Topgolf around 10 p.m. to find bullet holes on her car.
Officers also said they found fourteen .40 caliber shell casings in the back of the parking lot.
MPD said no injuries were reported.
In a statement, Topgolf officials said they are "working closely with local police" following the incident.
"The safety of our players and playmakers has been and continues to be our top priority for all of our venues around the globe," they said. "That’s why, out of an abundance of caution, we’ll be immediately implementing additional security measures at Topgolf Memphis so that all can safely enjoy our unique play experience."
The Memphis location opened on Oct. 27, around three weeks ago.
