MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police have released video of the two armed robbers who tried to rob a First Horizon Bank in Frayser Wednesday.
At around 1:08 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25, Memphis Police officers responded to an attempted armed robbery at the bank in the 3300 block of North Watkins St. Bank employees told police the two suspects were dressed in all black, wearing ski masks and armed with guns.
Investigators said the security guard on duty fired shots at the suspects before they were able to enter the bank. The suspects returned fire before taking off in a dark-colored four-door sedan. The vehicle was last seen traveling eastbound down Frayser Boulevard.
MPD initially said a security officer was only being treated for cuts, but later confirmed he had been shot and did not realize it. He was taken to Methodist North in non-critical condition. MPD said another bank employee was also injured, though they did not say how.
