MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police have released pictures and video of a suspect vehicle in a shooting in April that left a man and woman dead, and a two-year-old injured.
MPD officers responded to the shooting just after 12:30 p.m. April 8, 2024, in the area of Mississippi Blvd. and Crump Boulevard. They found a red Hyundai Sonata with a man and woman in the front and a two-year-old in the back, all of them shot.
Investigators said the man died at the scene. The 36-year-old woman was taken to Regional One Health in critical condition, where she later died. The two-year-old was taken to Le Bonheur Children's Hospital in critical condition and has since recovered.
Investigators said the victims had been followed by a white Jeep Laredo which had a broken window on backseat driver's side, with the window covered with a black plastic bag. Police said the Laredo followed the victims to the scene of the shooting and then was seen speeding away westbound on Crump Boulevard.

The shooting took place near another deadly shooting just an hour before not far away at Danny Thomas Boulevard and Mississippi Boulevard. MPD officers found a man shot around 11 a.m. He was taken to Regional One, where he later died.
