More gaming stores targeted by thieves

Police responded to two gaming store incidents Thursday, Nov. 30, between 2:30-3:45 a.m., one at GameStop and the other at Game X Change.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Thieves targeted two gaming stores in Memphis early Thursday morning.

The Memphis Police Department responded to the first incident around 2:30 a.m. at a GameStop in the 3800 block of Austin Peay Highway. 

Police said the front glass was broken and believe several suspects are responsible.

Officers responded to the second incident at Game X Change about an hour later in the 7400 block of Winchester Road. 

The suspects broke the front glass, but it appeared that they were not able to enter the building, police said. 

Both investigations are ongoing.
